The Melton Family

Jenny (curly hair) contacted me a few weeks ago about getting a gift certificate for my services (and prints) for her mother in law for her birthday. It just so happened that I had Sunday free when the rest of the family was in town for Memorial Day weekend, so I went over and spent some time with this fun family and got some great pics of the 2 grandsons and all the adults. Baby Hope

Back around the first of the year, my mother in law introduced me to a blog called, "Journey of Hope." It's about a couple from their church who adopted a baby girl from China. The blog chronicles the time from when they found out they were getting Baby Hope until they brought her home from China, and now everyday life. (Complete with pictures, which I love).

After reading their story, I got a warm and fuzzy feeling - I was so happy for this family and their blessing from God. So I contacted them and asked if I could take some pictures for them. This past Friday was when we were finally able to work out a time to get together. Hope is such a little cutie. She was born in Oct 06 so that makes her about 19 months old. She just recently learned to walk and she was running all over the park. I had a hard time choosing which pics to share here because she was dressed in 3 cute little outfits, including 1 dress that they brought home with her from China.

Chenault Kids

I did some pictures a few weeks ago for the Chenault family and the SIL contacted me soon after and said she wanted pics of her daughter and step sons to surprise her husband with for father's day (what a great idea!) So we met at the park the other night and had a great time capturing these pics. The boys were naturals in front of the camera (crazy, I know)....and little Charlie was such a cutie pie.

Sherry & Chris

I met Sherry last week "by accident" at a surprise bday lunch for a mutual friend. When she sat down and my sister told her who I was, she said..."Oh, I just emailed you. I need a photographer for this weekend." I asked her if she was serious...because of the way she said it is just sounded so random. But she was serious and we got together over the weekend. Sherry and her fiance Chris are getting married in Hickory, NC in September....so we did an engagement shoot and since we had so much fun and have so many ideas for some other pics, we're going to do another one soon!

We went to Fort Fisher to do the session and when we got out of the car, we were almost blown away. The wind was incredible....we almost decided to postpone, but instead decided to just try a couple of shots...turns out we got all of these great images. These 2 are naturals in front of a camera!

The Butler Family - Part 1

Here is part 1 of my sneak peek for the Butler family...part 2 should be up in a few hours - honest!

The Butler family asked me to take some pictures of their family which includes 3yr old Connor and another little baby boy due in July. I always love taking baby bump pictures. They were also the first family to take me up on my offer to do an early morning shoot - the light for outdoor pictures is best in the early morning or late evening - most people pick the late evening. These guys were real troopers and we were done by about 8am!
