Moore Family - Part 1

I had the absolute pleasure today of hanging out with the Moore's. They just had a little boy (on my birthday!!) and he is cute as can be. It must run in the family, because their daughter is just as cute - although quite a pistol! I took so many pics and I've only had time to go through a few of them tonight...but I know Mom & Dad are watching this blog to see when I post the sneak peek...so I decided to break it up into 2 parts...so here you go....Part 1.

I hope you guys love them! I had a blast :)

I love how he looks so deep in thought here...

I caught a little snuggle with Daddy here when he was trying to calm little man down...

This time Mom was trying to calm him down...and when she held him out, I grabbed this one..I love it!

Big sis snuck in here for a pic - isn't she cute?!?

When I talked to Mom on the phone this week, she said the one picture they really wanted was something with soccer balls - soccer is HUUUUGE at their house. Like really really big. In fact, Dad told me today that Mom married soccer and then him - haha. So we got creative and here we go...love it!

Check back late tomorrow for Part II!

Edwin

This past week, Brian and I kept our nephew, Edwin for a few days while my sister and Brother in law were out of town on a little trip. We ended up playing outside one night for a little bit and I just happened to have my camera...so these are for my sis (who saw Spencer's pics a few posts back and wanted some similar ones of Edwin).

Carmen - Part 1

One day last week, I took Carmen and her sister Bonnie out for lunch and then the plan was to go take some senior pictures. Carmen is actually graduating next month, but I wanted to do some "sample" senior pics for my website etc, so I asked her if she'd be my model.

So, after lunch, we went to the lake to take some pics of her in her Azalea Belle dress. In April every year, Wilmington hosts the North Carolina Azalea festival. It is a BIG deal in this town. They have garden tours, the Queens Coronation, Concerts, a parade, a street fair etc. You can find Azalea Belle's at all of the events and Carmen got to be one this year. So here are a few pics of that:

Now here's where the story gets entertaining....(kinda long, but funny)

We drove around downtown to scope out some places that we wanted to go to to take the pictures...we had to park the car (obviously) and then we were going to go get some ice cream and walk around downtown and get some cool/funky shots. So we drove to the top of one of the parking decks, thinking that might be kind of cool to get some shots of the city in the background. So we get out of the car and I open the back door where my camera bag was...set my keys, phone and wallet in my camera bag (because we're getting ready to leave the car) and I went and took just a few pictures of Carmen at the top of the deck. Well, there was a guy up there with his 2 dogs and they were running around playing ball. Carmen's Azalea Belle dress was in the car so Carmen tells her sister, Bonnie, "close the car door so the dogs don't get my dress." Well, I'm in the zone and not paying any attention to the fact that she actually closed the door and my KEYS were in there and the automatic door locks had already activated. UGH. So now what? We're locked out..no money, no phone etc. We asked the guy if he had a cell phone and he didn't, but he said he lived close by and would get it. Sure enough, he was back in less than 5 min and I called Brian and asked him to come rescue us. So now what? Well, we made the best of it and still went on with the shoot....then Brian rescued us and we headed home (our family and their family had dinner at my parent's house that night and it was almost 5 by the time Brian got to us). So in a week or two, the girls and I are going to go and try again downtown!

And then little sister got in on the action.....

And here's Brian after he rescued us..ahhh..my hero!

A Walk in the Park...

This morning I met my friend Jessica at the park to take pictures of her little boy, Spencer. He turned 1 back in February and I was supposed to take pics at his birthday party but I got super super sick and Diana took them instead (she and Edwin were invited to the party as guests already). She did a great job and I made her a collage (you may remember that from an earlier post). Anyways, we finally go to get together today and Spencer is quite a mover. He walked all around the park, chased the ducks, tried to go in the water with them, we blew bubbles (well, Jessica did)and wore that child out. Jessica sent me a picture about 15 min after I had left her, of Spencer in his car seat conked out..lol. Anyways, here's a peek at our morning...and now I'm off to shoot some senior pics...fun fun..I love my life!!!!!
Note: I was going to put the pics in order and add captions...but blogger kinda stinks (being nice here) and I'm running late as usual so I've got to goooo....
