Harper's Official Newborn Shoot

Yesterday, I spent over 3 hours with Harper and her awesome parents at their house. She was an absolute angel and slept the entire time!! She is "my first newborn" to do that! But, I think the fact that she was only 5 days old made a huge difference. Sooo...for those of you that are planning to have me do newborn pictures...the earlier the better. It'll be easier on all of us - the baby, you and ME :) And, we get lots of good pics because they are so sleepy, happy, and bendy! Anyway...I'm thrilled with these (there are a ton) and I hope you (Krista and Anthony) are too!!!

Daddy gave Mommy and Harper matching necklaces after she was born, so we had to incorporate that into a couple of shots...

At the very end we had to beg her to wake up..lol.

I love my job!

A few weeks ago (maybe not even that long ago), I got an email asking if I could do newborn photos for a couple. They were having their first child - a girl. Mom asked if they should do them at the hospital or at their house and when should they do them. I jumped at the chance to go to the hospital to meet Ms. Harper! So we did both. I got an email from Mom (Krista) about a little over a week ago and she said that their due date was Feb 5th, but the doc said they were going to induce her on Jan 30th. Imagine my surprise when I got a call on Jan 26th and Krista said their baby girl had arrived the day before!! She was 10 pounds, 14 ounces and 22 inches long!! When I went to meet her, she still looked tiny to me :)

So two trips to the hospital in 3 days - I love it! So here she is... Oh and by the way..there are tons of pics!

Baby Aiden is Here!!

My friend, Katie had her baby boy! Baby Aiden was born on Friday, January 23rd and was 9 pounds, 6 ounces! I didn't end up photographing the delivery, but on Saturday, my parents and I headed over to the hospital to meet him and get some pics. Unfortunately, I got a text on Sunday to pray for baby Aiden....that he had an infection and was in the ICU...so we've been praying for him and I'm happy to report that he's doing well now and is just a bit jaundice....so he's getting his sun tan under the bili lights and will hopefully come home soon (and then I'll do his official newborn session). I was at the hospital yesterday morning photographing another new baby - a baby girl, which you will meet later this week, so I stopped by to hold baby Aiden again and I was able to get a few more pictures for them. Daddy/John wasn't there the first day when we stopped by so I was able to get some with him and Aiden yesterday. Ok, I bet you're ready to see some pics instead of reading this, huh? :)
