Hey everybody. I’m not sure how to write this, so I’ll just jump right in. Most of you know that Katie has had a lot of back and leg issues since she fell three years ago. Due to recent medical complications, she has had to take an unexpected leave of absence from her business.
Beginning today, June 22nd, Katie Mathews Photography will be closed for 4-6 weeks. Please know that this decision was not made lightly and I will give updates as they become available. If you have sessions scheduled, orders pending, or just general questions outstanding, I will be contacting you on an individual basis. If you have not heard from me personally by Friday the 26th, please send an additional email to diana@katiemathewsphotography.com.
During this time, I will also be going over the survey results from a couple of weeks ago and announcing the winner of the free session (to be scheduled at a later date).
Her photography business means the world to Katie and she is having a very hard time being away from everything. However, it is imperative that she take this time to get healthy which will ultimately serve her clients better. Your prayers are welcomed and encouraged during this difficult time.

Thank you for not contacting and notifying us that the appointment was cancelled. I'm sure that when we rescheduled (because she had cancelled on us twice already) on June 19 for July 2, that she already knew that she was going to make the decision to stop working. We understand that things happen that we cannot control but a simple phone call would have saved us changing our flight and vacation plans to accommodate the photo shoot.
