Playing catch up

I've got a notebook where I jot down the sessions I need to edit and the sessions I need to blog. The sessions I need to edit are almost all crossed off the list (woo hoo), but the list of sessions to blog is quite long and they go back quite a ways. So, I thought I'd do one big long post to show you the rest of my Fall/Halloween Mini Sessions (I told you they're "old").

The Phifer Family

I am buried deep in orders and am placing more. Here's a little peek into my office yesterday. What you can't see is the canvases and other big prints, as well as some of the orders I had already packaged up and were sitting on the floor.  It's not the best pic but at least you can see allll those orders all over the place. Haven't placed your order yet? You still have a few more days so get them in quick! :)

Ok onto my next session to share. I loved this session. I loved this family. And I loved the challenge. When I spoke to Mom when she was thinking about booking, she had some concerns because her girls really don't like strangers. Basically, she was worried that they would freak out and cry the whole time. So I told her that we could go to the park where the girls could run around and play with Mom and Dad and I'd let them warm up to me. So she booked. I was a little nervous before I met them because I didn't know how things would go, but it went great!! The girls (and the whole family) are absolutely adorable. In the beginning they weren't too sure of me, but they still did good. And low and behold, this ended up being one of my favorite sessions as of late. So thank you Phifer family - It was a blast!!

Technical Difficulties

Just FYI, my website is temporarily down. It should be back up sometime tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec 9th). I think most of my clients work at the same large company here in town and I photographed their holiday party Saturday night. When the pics were posted to my website today and 1000+ people tried to access it at the same time, it sorta killed my site (and some other sites at my web hosting company). So bear with us...it'll just be a bit longer to get it back up. I'll post here again when it's good to go. Thank you for your patience and I'm sorry for any inconvenience!

The Andersons & Holiday Order Deadline Extended

I can see a light at the end of the tunnel! I'm still working many many hours...but I'm getting close to being caught up and I'm excited to be able to start posting again. So be prepared for lots and lots of sessions.

Also, the deadline for holiday orders was yesterday, but I'm extending it to Monday, December 15th. I will rush your order at no extra charge to you. You will be able to pick up your order on Friday, December 19th (if not sooner). So if you haven't gotten something for Grandma yet, or something for Uncle Bob....a print or collage from your recent session is a great gift or also a gift certificate!

Now onto my share for today....a few weeks ago (on one of the coldest days), I met the Anderson Family down at the beach. The sky was just gorgeous that evening and I loved how they were dressed. They coordinated so nicely without everyone wearing the same exact thing. They were such a sweet family. I hadn't met them before the session, but they made me feel so comfortable and I had lots of fun with their crew.

Sleep and Lollipops

Dear Blog,
I thought I could take a break away from you, but I just can't. I enjoy sharing pictures with all of my blog readers (there are like 1 or 2 right?) So at 1:30 in the morning, when I should be heading off to la-la land..I'm taking a sec to share a couple of pics I worked on today. When I was working on them, they made me happy. They reminded me of being a kid and being so happy with the littlest thing - like a giant lollipop (ok, so it isn't so little, technically). I feel like a little kid every day because I get to do something that I love and at times I am absolutely giddy.  I don't have time to share much....the millions of back up blog posts will come soon...Dec 26th maybe? haha  But in the meantime...I hope the lollipops make you happy too.

Canvas Sale

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, my little guy was sick on Wed and Thursday, so my hubby and I had to take turns staying home with him while the other one went to our family gatherings. It was still fun, but really strange to not be together.

They may seem a bit pricey, but they are meant to last a lifetime and to be displayed as a piece of art. The ones I have ordered are absolutely gorgeous!
