Sherry: bridals

This past weekend, my sister and I travelled to Hickory to shoot the wedding of Sherry and Chris.  We had such a great time and I can't wait to share the images from their special weekend, but I promised to wait until they get back from their honeymoon to Bora Bora! The one thing I can share though is Sherry's bridal pics. She and I travelled to Chapel Hill to do these pics - she went to school there. At the wedding, Sherry had a couple of these blown up to 24x30 - one was a gallery wrapped canvas and one was mounted on 2mm styrene. They turned out absolutely beautiful and I admit, I was so proud to see my work at the entrance of the ballroom the night of the reception! So here they are.....  (I've also got another engagement session of theirs to share when I get a sec and I'll also show a couple of pages of their engagement album!)

Here is the picture she chose for the gallery wrapped canvas. Apparently "The Old Well" is a big deal at UNC Chapel Hill. She told me that you're supposed to drink from the well on the first day of school and you'll have good luck all year long.

Here's the photo she had mounted on styrene - gorgeous!

And here's one she had made into an 11x14 and it was framed and on a table with various other family wedding photos from their families at the reception.

Finally, here's some of my other favorites....

Michelle and Aaron : Maternity

I feel so bad for making Michelle wait so long for this sneak peek, so I had to post a couple extras to make up for it. I met Michelle and Aaron because one of my other maternity clients referred them - thank you Colleen! We met at the park on a morning that was soooo sticky and hot. You can't tell from the pictures but we were all a wee bit miserable from the heat. They were real troopers though and we got some great shots! Michelle is due in November and they already told me they want me to take newborn pictures - yea! So they will be appearing again in a few months.

Michelle and Aaron, it was great to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again in November! I hope you like your pics....

So I'm a few days late (as usual) in announcing the winner of my comment contest. I want to thank everyone who left comments and I hope you'll continue to leave them (even when I'm not giving something away!)

There were 82 comments during the contest period (thank you!).....

I went onto random integer and plugged in the numbers and got...

Baby Jackson

I have been meaning to blog this session forever. I initially held off on posting until Mom picked out the pics for the baby announcement and then I got busy and then and then and then....haha. So here is baby Jackson. His older brother Carson was so cute with him and the whole family is so happy to have him here. I'm sure he's getting big now since this was a couple of months ago. But in any case, I wanted to share him with all my blog readers and I know Mom wanted Jackson to star on the blog as well! :)

The McCain Family

When Tricia booked me for this session, she wasn't sure where she wanted to do it. After a few emails back and forth, she suggested we take their boat to Masonboro Island. I jumped all over that! I love the water and any time I can get a boat ride, I love it! Even better, Tricia and Chris were kind enough to let my parents tag along. We had such a fun Saturday evening and Chris even took us down to Snows Cut so we could see the sunset. Mom and Dad helped with the girls and at the end, the little one fell asleep and the older one wouldn't leave my Dad's arms. Too cute! I hope we can do it again sometime.

My dad was into photography long before me (I always took pics, but didn't really know what I was doing..haha). So he used my back up camera and took quite a few shots - some of his are in the sneak peek below.

Tricia and Chris, thank you for a WONDERFUL evening and thank you for your patience while I get this sneak peek up. I should have the rest of them very soon!

Oh and their girls are so darn adorable that I had a hard time picking my favorites...so there are a bunch!
